A transformation plan aimed at improving service delivery, implementing efficient processes, and adopting new technology systems

The brief.

As a consequence of significant business growth and change in demand for services, the broadcaster was experiencing significant challenges with its recruitment processes.

This was due to a variety of factors including process inefficiencies, poor productivity and outputs, a recent implementation of new technology which was not fully optimised and an under-skilled recruitment population. 

We worked with our client to improve the service delivery of the recruitment team and embed best-in-class methodology to improve outputs.

Our solution.

We implemented a recruitment transformation strategy, overhauling every aspect of the way the business managed its recruitment.

We identified the strategic gaps that existed within the current structure, and focused on creating operational excellence within a new team.

To identify the optimal solution, we led workshops to review the recruitment model, conducting gap analyses and modelling capacity plans. We conducted capability assessments and external salary benchmarking to inform structural design.

Developing new frameworks around key recruitment workstreams was a key requirement, and using the insights gained from the research phase, created new methodology for:

  • identifying, sourcing and engaging with quality talent

  • competency assessments

  • efficient talent acquisition delivery

  • attractive employer branding

  • data-driven reporting

  • structured mobility services

As part of the solution, we also designed initiatives to support culture change including top talent reviews as well as the development of job frameworks and L&D programmes for each employee level.

And finally, to embed a culture of high performance and excellence within the team, we introduced incentive schemes and performance management practices, which included 360 reviews, personal development plans and appraisal frameworks.

Our solution allowed our client to rebuild their reputation in the industry through improved service delivery, whilst developing an efficient talent function. Highlights include:
