The Challenge:
Following acquisition of the Swiss firm by the UK business, a decision was made to second a UK employee to the Swiss business to develop its recruiting practices. With limited recruitment expertise, an under-utilised technology, very high agency usage, poor governance of agency terms and fees, a highly variable process, impacting candidate and hiring manager experience, an under-represented brand in the external market and poor quality of service delivery support was required to transform both the team and its processes.
The Details:
- 12 month engagement
- Our director served as an embedded consultant and Recruitment Manager, implementing a change programme to embed operational processes in line with the UK ways of working and embed culture change across the team. The position included direct line management responsibility for the 5 client employees
The Results:
- Strategic procurement review of suppliers delivered a cost avoidance programme of circa 250K CHF
- Standardised recruitment process delivered across service lines, resulting in improved service delivery
- Implementation of performance management practices and upskilling of new team, building true recruitment expertise in the business and a higher performing team
- Restructured and centralised team and outsourced elements to increase efficiency and utilisation and manage scalability of delivery
- Delivered greater external brand awareness, through supplier engagement and development of a clear EVP for the external market
